How To Make Holiday Stickers For Sealing Envelopes With Kimi Kinsey

  1. Your Cricut Machine - Any Model Excluding The Joy Will Work With This Project. I’ll Be Using The Original Cricut Maker.
  2. A Printer - I Personally Recommend An Inkjet Printer Most Because Most People Have One Or Can Much More Reasonably Obtain One. If You Have A Specialty Printer For Other Projects, You’ll Likely Already Know Whether Or Not It’ll Work For This Project. I’ll Be Using An Epson Ecotank Et2800.
  3. Sticker Paper - I Highly Recommend Printable Vinyl. Be Sure To Purchase One For Your Printer Type. Typically, There’s An Inkjet Or A Laserjet Option. I’ll Be Using Aiva Matte Printable Vinyl.
  4. Laminate - Technically, This Is Optional But Extremely Recommended Since We’ll Be Using These Stickers On Envelopes That Will Go Through Machines And Other Situations, Which Could Cause Scuffing Or Scratching To The Sticker Design. I Personally Use Oracle 210 Glossy From Creative Craft Vinyl  - It’s A Self-Laminate You Apply By Hand With A Squeegee, And It’s My Favorite.
  5. Lightgrip Mat - You’ll Want To Use The Blue Or Lightgrip Mat For Making Stickers So You Can Easily Remove Them Without Tearing The Backing.
  6. Brayer - This Is Also Optional, But I Like To Use A Brayer To Ensure That My Sheet Is Fully Adhered To The Mat Before Cutting.
  7. Squeegee - A Larger One That’s 9” Long, Like What I Have, Would Be Best, But If You Have A Smaller One From Other Projects, You Can Certainly Use That. Be Sure One End Is Felt Covered, Or You Can Use A Paper Towel Or Microfiber Cloth On One End To Avoid Digging Into The Laminate And Causing Scratches While Applying.

FAQ

Are the workshops live or pre-recorded? Expand

The workshops are pre-recorded, so we can offer them for 24 hours and allow folks from all different time zones to view them! If you need support, you can join the FB group or reach out to our speakers personally by following them on their blogs.

What is the difference between watching the week of the event and watching workshops inside the VIP Pass? Expand

If you watch for free the week of the event, September 23-27, you get 24 hours to view that day's workshops and download the templates.

You still get 24 hours, no matter your time zone; please use a time zone converter to track the difference.

But those who own the 2024 Giftfest VIP Pass get early access to start watching right now, and pass holders retain access to the workshop material, templates, worksheets, and supply lists forever. Plus, the VIP Pass gives you $537+ worth of bonus downloads free attendees will not receive.

Do I have to have a cutting machine to enjoy the event? Expand

Nope! While a majority of these workshops focus on using a cutting machine as a tool, there are several bow, wrapping, and design workshops that do not require any cutting machine. Likewise, if you are someone who does not yet own a cutting machine but wants to see if you are a good fit, this event will help you learn how these tools can help you grow your creative skills!

What time zone are you in? Expand

All workshops will start at 9 am ET and be available for free until 9 am ET the following day.

If you are not in the Eastern time zone, you can use this converter to calculate your time difference.

You will get a full 24 hours to view the workshops for free, regardless of your timezone. Please use a converter to calculate the viewing period in your location.

What cutting machines do you cover? Expand

The event features all the current Cricut machine models - Cricut Explore Air 2, Explore 3, Maker, Maker 3, and the Cricut Joy/Joy Xtra machine. The beauty of the event is that nearly all the craft workshops will work seamlessly with the various Cricut models, including the newest Venture and Joy Xtra, with a couple of exceptions.

The Cricut Joy/Joy Xtra machines face a few size limitations for certain crafts, but several specific workshops feature just the Cricut Joy to help various machine owners.

There are a few Maker-specific crafts during the event, such as our engraving workshop and wood workshop. Other than that, all the workshops can be followed with all the current models of Cricut machines!

Silhouette, Juliette, and Other Cutting Machines

While these workshops teach from Cricut perspective, be sure to look out for our Silhouette Surprise! Juliette Suprise! and Design Surprise! workshops sprinkled throughout the event, too! Many of these crafts can be made with other cutting machines aside of Cricut.
